Construction Health and Safety Manager

We have a need for a Construction Health & Safety Manager in Boise, Idaho. This is for a construction site safety job beginning ASAP and lasting 1 year with a potential of up to 5 years.

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 1-5 years
Pay Rate: $95K plus based on experience
Benefits: per diem, 2 weeks paid vacation, relocation cost negotiable
Location: Boise, ID

Essential Functions

The essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Site audits and employee training as well as excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience preparing various OSHA, DOT and EPA compliance plans and programs
  • Competency in developing, implementing, and monitoring accident prevention programs, policies, and procedures to ensure continuous safe working conditions in accordance with State, Federal, and Local laws and regulations to assist the client in striving to achieve Zero Accident / lost time injuries.
  • Understanding of risk management and loss control strategies to assist clients in evaluating and assessing workers’ compensation losses.
  • Ability to (ability to learn) analyze loss control metrics and communicate various claims management principles and tactics for purposes of reducing direct and indirect impact of workers’ compensation claims.
  • Data entry and maintenance of online (SharePoint) file systems.
  • Excellent time management skills, organization, and the ability to work independently are critical to employee success.

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • 5 years Environmental Health & Safety experience
  • Proven background in building and working with collaborative teams, as well as the ability to work independently with little oversight.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and effectively and professionally deal with customers and external contacts to the company.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
